    This unit applies to workers in a range of job roles providing services to children and young people including in community services and health contexts.


    This unit is a must for anyone working in industries that work closely with children, and for mandatory reporters in various industries. 


    The Statement of Attainment in CHCPRT001 Identify and respond to children and young people at risk meets the Education and Care Services National Regulations requirements and covers the training requirements of mandatory reporters in various states.    CHCPRT001 has been superseded by CHCPRT025 - Identify and report children and young people at risk and is invalid after December 2023.

    COMING SOON: 

    This unit of competency will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to address duty of care requirements and work within an ethical framework whilst applying relevant legislation, codes of conduct and international agreements. You will also gain skills and knowledge in applying policies and procedures relating to identifying, responding to and supporting children’s and young people’s rights and safety.



    This is an approved Child Protection Training unit for nominated supervisors or persons in day to day charge working in NSW.  Upon successful completion you will receive a Statement of Attainment in - CHCPRT026 Support the rights and safety of children and young people which meets the Education and Care Services National Regulations requirements and covers the training requirements of mandatory reporters in various states.
